Due to being a Poly rayon Blend, Non-Woven gauze sponges are less linting and ideal for Dialysis, Plastic Surgery, and Dermatology settings

Gauze wound dressings tend to adhere to the wound surface. This leads to painful removal and patient discomfort.

Non-woven gauze is stronger, bulkier and softer than woven gauze, and produces less lint. However, non-woven gauze tends to be more expensive than woven.

Despite the preference for using alternative dressings and debridement methods, gauze still plays a role in advanced wound care. Rather than having direct contact with the wound, gauze is preferred as a secondary dressing.

It is also very effective at lowering the risk of infection when it is used to scrub wound.

Wounds necessitate proper coverage to facilitate optimal healing. Leaving a wound exposed can lead to the drying out of newly forming surface cells, impeding the healing process. It is advisable to cover a wound with a clean bandage, whether woven or non-woven, over the exudate control powder, regardless of whether it is in a pure or diluted form.
